Water is the liquid of life. Its chemical formula is H2O. It can exist in the three states of mater: as gas it is water vapor, as liquid it is water and as solid it is ice.
It has tremendous importance for life. Most of an organism's weight is water. Living organisms cannot survive for long periods of time without water. Water is used in many of chemical reactions.
Water cycle Edit
Water in Earth follows the Water Cycle. It rains water. This water goes to rivers and seas. Then the sun evaporates this water and it raises as vapor water to the sky, reinitiating the cycle.
Hydrogen bond Edit
Water molecules are joined together by hydrogen bonds. These bonds are polar bonds, so the water has special properties like surface tension. Surface tension is the characteristic that some insects use to walk on water.
