Biochemistry is the field of Biology that studies the chemical reactions found in living organisms (organic chemistry). It deals with the structure and function of lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids, enzymes and other biomolecules. It also studies cellular organs, biosynthesis, cellular functioning at all levels, diseases, genetics and enzymology (study of enzymes).
